Nursing Strikes

A strike is a sudden refusal to nurse, lasting 2-4 days. Nursing strikes usually occur in babies younger than one year and the mother may feel intuitively that her baby is not ready to stop breastfeeding. A nursing strike may be misinterpreted as a readiness to wean.
